A Plea for Support: Helping Maria Hunter and Nyla Hunter Recover.
Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
Our lives took an unimaginable turn on the night of May 19th and morning of Monday, May 20 @ 1:20 am, when my wife, Maria Hunter, and our 16-year-old daughter, Nyla Hunter, were involved in a critical, life-threatening accident. While stopped at a red light, their car was tragically rear-ended by a semi-truck whose driver had fallen asleep behind the wheel.
By the grace of God, they both survived, but they have sustained serious injuries that require extensive medical care and a long road to recovery. Maria and Nyla are the lights of my life, and seeing them in pain and facing this challenging journey is heartbreaking.
Adding to this burden, both my wife and I will be out of work for an extended period as we focus on their recovery and navigate the aftermath of this tragedy. This leaves us facing significant financial hardship, struggling to cover mounting medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and even our normal living expenses like mortgage, food, and utilities.
