Hello Our Friends and Family,

This is hard to say and even harder to ask. Some of you may know by now that major things have been happening lately.

First, the good news: Rachel and I made plans to finally have a wedding ceremony after 25 years together, in October. We had money saved for this and planned forever.

The monkey wrench in our plans: A couple of weeks ago, during a routine physical, my doctors discovered, through tests, that I had another tumor. Instead of affecting my brain this time, it’s attached to my ovary. As of 5/28, we do not know if this tumor is benign. They will not perform a biopsy until the surgery. Because of its size, surgery is more important. The tumor is about 7in by 4in by 3.5in. Because of its size, its location, and the history of losing my mother to ovarian/uterine cancer, they have suggested and I am choosing to have a full hysterectomy.

The big ask: We need help. We were putting our all towards a wedding we are still looking forward to having. But now we are faced with medical bills we weren’t counting on. Cards are starting to max and Rachel has been working tirelessly to get us all the financial aid we can get.

If you have it in you to give, Rachel and I would be in your debt. Please understand that this is going towards the urgent care that I need, and you will be truly helping us out. We will give more information as we get it, but please understand our jam.

UPDATE: Surgery will be June 16th at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena.
