Story
On May 11th, 2025, Master Patrol Officer Chris Saunders suffered a serious injury while working that required an emergency double craniotomy. Thanks to the quick actions of his fellow officers and dedicated medical professionals, Chris survived — and his recovery so far has been nothing short of extraordinary.
But the journey ahead is long. Chris faces months of intensive physical and speech therapy and will be unable to return to work for an extended period, and unfortunately, workers’ compensation has denied his claim.
During this difficult time, his wife Laura—who is herself recovering from breast cancer surgery—has remained steadfastly by his side. Together, they are navigating the emotional and financial burdens brought on by this sudden medical crisis. While their strength and resilience are truly admirable, they still face a long road ahead filled with unexpected costs, including travel for medical appointments, specialized rehabilitation, and ongoing care needs.
Chris has dedicated his career to protecting and serving his community. Now, it’s our turn to support him. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the burden and allow Chris to focus on what matters most: healing.
Thank you for standing with Chris, Laura, and their family during this critical time.
