Our favorite South Bay Chef and my sister Leslie “Les” Schirle, desperately needs our help!

In January, Les was hospitalized and received a sudden, life-changing diagnosis for Multiple Myeloma, a painful and aggressive form of bone cancer, and sepsis, a life-threatening blood infection.

After two grueling months at UCLA Reagan Medical Center, she is receiving treatment for bone cancer, which is complicated by her previous kidney transplant.

She is in for the fight of her life!

Les has spent decades cooking and serving families and friends in the greater South Bay, with her incredible food, generous heart and bad ass spirit. She always goes above and beyond to make all our holidays, birthdays, weddings, and special dinners beautiful, memorable, as well as delicious.

Home and Fighting

Les is home and will be undergoing chemotherapy and regular blood transfusions for the next 4-6 months. Her bones are very fragile, and her infamous energy is very weak. She is physically unable to work and is facing mounting medical bills and living expenses.

Day-to-day is very hard, and she needs to focus all her energy on fighting cancer right now … but she can’t do that without our help.
