April 1st, 2025 is the day my life was forever changed. After many months of excruciating pain, my doctor called me and told me to meet him at the hospital for emergency surgery; my MRI that I had had three hours earlier showed a mass around my lower spine, and without surgery I would lose my leg… In one hour, I was in surgery.

On the second day, I was lying in the hospital and a doctor introduced himself, stating he was from the Oncology Department. I can honestly say that, at this point, my head started spinning.I literally remember the doctor’s lips moving, but I could not hear anything he was saying. A few days later, the pathology report came back and it was confirmed: I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 Follicular Non Hodgkin Lymphoma.

Please forgive me if I have not reached out to you. Please understand, I have been a ball of emotions! Many of my family and friends know I am a very private person, and I am very independent… I have faced many challenges in my life head on. But this situation is different… I am asking for help paying my insurance deductible of 8,000, and the out of pocket expenses to continue to fight this CANCER! I pray every day that GOD will grant me the strength and positivity to continue the 6 month chemo treatments that are starting this next month.

Those of you that know me, know I love with every bit of my soul. I have met so many awesome people in my life and I have infinite memories to still make with you! Forgive me for taking a pause for 6 months… With your help, I can take life full speed again!
