Support Mackenzie and Sidney Goutermout with NICU Stay #2

Story

Mackenzie and Sidney Goutermout were due to have their next baby in August 2025, but Mackenzie’s water spontaneously ruptured at 29 weeks gestation. Her medical team has decided that she needs to be admitted as an inpatient, with the hopes that she can carry the baby to 34 weeks gestation.

As a result, Mackenzie is hospitalized and will be without her children and without income for the foreseeable future as she prepares to safely deliver her next baby. A NICU stay for the baby once they are earth side is anticipated, as well. With two children at home and bills to pay, this chapter will be undeniably difficult. This is the Goutermout Family’s second experience with preterm labor and a NICU stay, and is subsequently extremely traumatic for all.
