Help Taneea Johnson Recover After a Life-Threatening Emergency
Two weeks ago, our daughter Taneea was rushed to the hospital with a sudden, severe infection in her fallopian tube. It came out of nowhere — she was diagnosed as acute sepsis, a life-threatening condition that can cause organ failure. She spent several days in the hospital, underwent emergency treatment with strong antibiotics and IVs, and has been placed on oxygen and complete bed rest for at least two weeks, maybe more.
She came dangerously close to losing her life. We are so grateful she pulled through, but now she’s facing another battle: the overwhelming financial toll of this medical crisis.
Just three days before being hospitalized, Taneea had started a new job. Because she hadn’t worked there long, she has no sick leave or job protection — and now may lose this job. Her husband had recently started a new job as well, and was only two weeks away from qualifying for insurance. Unfortunately, that means they now face thousands of dollars in emergency room, hospitalization, and medication costs — without coverage.
On top of the medical bills, Taneea is unable to work; she struggles each day with trying to do basic simple living routines.
We are reaching out to ask for help — whether it’s 5 or 50 — anything will make a difference. Donations will go directly to:
• Hospital and emergency room bills
• Follow-up care, oxygen, and medications
We know times are hard for everyone. If you’re not in a place to give, we totally understand — your prayers, well-wishes, and shares of this page are just as appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion in helping our daughter and her little family get through this difficult time. We’re deeply grateful.
With love,
The Rasmussen Family
