Support Jeff’s Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Megan, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother, Jeff Lang, who is currently facing the fight of his life.

A few days ago, Jeff was rushed by ambulance to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, NC with stroke-like symptoms. Doctors discovered a brain bleed that seemed to come out of nowhere. As they ran more tests, we were devastated to learn that Jeff has testicular cancer that has metastasized to both his brain and lungs.

He will be hospitalized for some time as his brain attempts to reabsorb the blood from the hemorrhage. Jeff currently cannot move the left side of his body—but he can feel sensations there, which doctors tell us is a very hopeful sign. He is also on a breathing tube, as the tumors in his lungs have begun to bleed. The amazing nurses are suctioning the blood from his lungs and keeping him stable. We are incredibly grateful for their dedicated care.

Today, Jeff is beginning chemotherapy to fight the tumors in his lungs and throughout his body. However, because chemo doesn’t cross the blood-brain barrier, he will also need targeted treatment for the tumor in his brain.

This situation has turned Jeff and his family’s world upside down. Jeff is a devoted husband to Jenna and father to three beautiful children: Faith, Hailey, and Damien. While he is fighting for his life, he is unable to work—and Jenna is doing everything she can to stay strong for their kids and be by his side.

We are asking for your help to support Jeff and his family with medical bills and everyday living costs during this incredibly difficult time. Any amount—no matter how small—will make a difference and allow the family to focus on Jeff’s recovery instead of financial stress.
