Support Butters’ Fight for Survival

Story

We are looking for help with our daughter’s 10-year-old horse. His name is Butters and he is not just my daughter’s rodeo horse, he is her best friend. Butters and Layla have become a very talented couple. They are such a special duo and they have achieved so many of their goals together.

He has recently become very ill, with an unknown cause at this time. Whatever happened has now caused gut/intestinal complications, along with some other serious complications that have happened. We admitted Butters to OSU hospital as soon as we saw that we could not resolve the problem ourselves. The doctors have been treating him with everything they have to get him feeling better. He is a fighter and not giving up! He has already beaten some odds that were not looking promising.

With that being said, he has now been in OSU for 3 days as of 5/29 and undergone lots of testing, which has a significant cost. He is looking like he will be needing some more days at OSU to survive. Butters is such a huge part of my family’s life. He is so driven and such a special animal. He really cares about his humans and currently, right now, he is showing that he has an extreme drive to live.

We are not asking for handouts. We are just looking to see if there is anything that could continue his care and help with the financial stress and burden that this is causing.
