Healing for Kathaleen: Facing Rare Cancer with Love & Hope
Story
Creating this GoFundMe for Kathaleen, my best friend of 47 years—a soul sister, light-bringer, and one of the most courageous women I’ve ever known. I’ve witnessed her face a rare and aggressive diagnosis with unwavering faith, deep surrender, and a fierce will to live. I’ve been walking beside her on this healing journey from the beginning, and I’m asking—from the deepest place in my heart—that you join me in helping her continue the treatment that is saving her life. Every and any financial contribution, prayer, and share truly matters. This is a heartfelt glimpse into her journey, and the light she continues to carry through it. Please feel free to reach out to me personally if you would prefer to do a private donation.
Hi, I’m Kathaleen Nichols.
Thank you so much for all of your love and support. It absolutely means the world to me…
This journey quietly began for me back in January. I chose to keep it very private…only a handful of people knew. But now, I find myself in a place of complete surrender, and opening up to ask for help and support is one of the most vulnerable and humbling things I’ve ever done.
It’s not easy for me. I’ve always strived to live by the sacred law of reciprocity, giving from a place of love and service. But recently, I’ve come face-to-face with the truth that I haven’t always allowed myself to receive in the same way.
This experience has been one of deep transformation. It’s asked me to grow, to let go, and to open my heart wider than ever before. Now, I find myself learning what it means to truly receive, to lean into the love, kindness, and generosity of others.
Both of my doctors told me that what is unfolding now was impossible. But I’ve come to learn: the body listens to love. The cells respond to belief. Spirit moves when we say yes to possibility.
So I offer you this not just as a request for support, but as a message of hope. If you’ve been walking through darkness, doubt, or fear, please let my story remind you that healing is possible, even when the world says it isn’t.
We are not alone. We are held. And we are capable of far more than we’ve been led to believe.
If this touches something in your heart, know that it’s not by accident. It’s a reminder that you, too, are part of the miracle.
Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for standing with me.
May this journey be a light for you, too.
This is my story….
For those of you who don’t know me personally, I’ve been on a very intense and humbling health journey this year. At the end of January, I was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of throat cancer. So rare, in fact, that the doctors said they had never seen anything quite like it. It had no clear origin and didn’t behave like the type of cancer they expected to find in that area. The fact that it was isolated in my throat was considered a miracle. I truly believe that the consistent support I’ve received from using the LifeWave patches over the past 5.5 years has played a meaningful role in my overall wellness and resilience!
However, I was still presented with a bleak forecast with words like “incurable” and “we’ll try to prolong your life”. I knew in my heart—that wasn’t my story. I didn’t accept that prognosis as truth, and I began seeking other answers.
At first, I gave it everything I had—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. From deep prayers to soul-searching, from radical self-love to complete surrender to God… I showed up fully, with every ounce of faith and fight I could find. I did everything I could naturally. I became vegan, did an 8-day water fast, followed by a 10-day green vegetable fast, and then a raw salad protocol. I committed fully—daily Scalar sessions, acupuncture, wheatgrass colonics, ozone therapy, energy work, and a cabinet full of supplements.
But my next CAT scan showed that the tumor and lymph nodes had grown significantly. It was clear—this cancer was aggressive, and I wouldn’t be able to stop it on my own.
Traditional oncology offered 3.5 months of chemotherapy, followed by 45 consecutive days of radiation to the neck, a feeding tube, and at least a year of painful recovery—with no guarantee of survival. The oncologist told me this is the most grueling treatment protocols they offer—brutal, extremely invasive, and life-altering. Even with all of that, the life expectancy they offered was still limited. It was a sobering moment… and a turning point in choosing a different path. And with a grandbaby on the way, “maybe” wasn’t good enough.
That’s when I was led to a brilliant cancer researcher who has spent over 20 years developing alternative, integrative treatments. After speaking with him and reviewing his successful outcomes, I knew this was my path forward. Although my insurance was top of the line, it did not cover the alternative treatments. Luckily I had my Lifewave business savings which allowed me to start the protocol.
I began the treatments in March—daily IV infusions, 3–4 hours a day, five times per week, along with a daily chemo pill. It was intense. But then, the first results came in… and they were miraculous.
My tumor growth marker—which began at 33—came back zero. In addition, the amount of cancerous DNA in my blood had dropped by 14.8% to .3%, over 50 times decreased! My doctor was stunned. On the phone, he said ecstatically,
“Kathaleen, this is miraculous!”
Because of the remarkable results, he said we needed to increase the frequency of treatments to fully eliminate the cancer and prevent recurrence. He raised the protocol to seven days per week—but now, I’ve hit a financial wall. The treatment runs over 20,000 a week, and after pouring every ounce of my LifeWave savings and personal resources into staying alive, I’ve run out of funds.
To continue this protocol and give my body the time it needs, I’m humbly asking for your help. My doctor says I need another 5 to 8 weeks of daily treatment. To do that, I need to raise a minimun of 125,000 and possibly needing up to 160,000.
Your support—whether financial, prayerful, or energetic—is truly helping to save my life. I wouldn’t have made it this far without the grace of God and the incredible love of my LifeWave family.
From the deepest part of my heart,
Thank You for reading this.
Thank You for standing with me.
And Thank You for believing in miracles—because I know that I am one.
With so much love,
Kathaleen
