Support Jayden’s Battle Against Cancer

Story

Jayden is an active 16 year old who loves his family, friends and sports. His passion for soccer has led him to playing for his high school as well as a competitive travel soccer team. His bravery, witty nature, and determination will help him persevere through this battle.

A few weeks ago, everything began to change. What seemed like a typical muscle injury from soccer turned into the devastating news of Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, an extremely aggressive soft tissue cancer. Within weeks of his diagnosis, the cancer has already metastasized. The devastation, fear, and shock that followed have been indescribable.

During the next several months, Jayden will need 42 weeks of extensive chemotherapy and radiation. The family will travel between Hartford, CT, and Boston, MA for these treatments. While this should be a joyous time of being with friends, getting his driver’s license, and many other new experiences, instead Jayden will be fighting for his life.

Jayden’s mother, Shaquan is a dedicated and loving teacher who always goes above and beyond for her students and school family. While Jayden is receiving treatments, Shaquan will be unable to return to work due to the need for Jayden’s constant care. This GoFundMe campaign aims to support the family through Jayden’s treatments, covering lost wages, medical expenses, and travel expenses for out-of-state care. Our goal is to ensure Jayden receives the very best care possible during this unthinkable time.
