Help Amber Fight Cancer: A Mother’s Sacrifice
Story
Amber is a hard-working single mom who is facing the fight of her life. Amber has always been the first person to step up to help anyone in need, and now she needs us to step up for her.
She was diagnosed in July 2024 with stage 3A melanoma. She had surgery in September 2024 to remove multiple lymph nodes where it had spread and had 7 inches cut out of her back. She chose to do chemo/immunotherapy for 12 months as it has the least side effects so that she could continue to work and take care of her family. Her PET scan in March revealed areas where cancer cells had resurfaced in the thyroid and head. She will be having another surgery on June 18th and more treatment afterward. She will be off work for an undetermined amount of time depending on the biopsy findings.
Amber has medical insurance, but it doesn’t cover all of the expenses of surgery and treatment. She has sold everything but her home to help pay for her care. She also closed her consignment store, Twice As Nice in Liberty, to reduce her bills, but even doing all of this, it isn’t enough to cover her medical bills and her basic household bills that still have to be paid while she is off work recovering from her life-saving surgery.
Amber and her family need our prayers and support. Please donate if you feel led to and please keep this family in your prayers.
