Story
My name is Gabrielle Britt. I am the daughter of Candy Johnston Britt, my beautiful mother who ended up taking her own life at the age of 51. While I don’t wish to belittle her struggle or her life by detailing what she fought, I am instead creating this in hopes of raising funds to help my family for her cremation.
The process is already done and was signed off by me; however, due to this being incredibly unexpected, my father took care of the cost in order to fulfill my mother’s final wishes. I am setting this up in hopes of paying him back and giving him some semblance of financial security. My mother did not want a service or funeral, as she hated the idea of her loved ones crying over her. She, just as we would like to, wanted to be celebrated. We plan to spread her ashes at her final resting place, and one of her favorite beaches; St. Augustine.
I truly appreciate any and all donations and every single dollar will both be given to my father for his help, and go to the proceeds for setting up the day for her final resting place. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Edit 5/26/25 — THANK YOU SO SO SO VERY MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO DONATED OR SHARED I am in complete shock. Mom will be able to rest right where and how she always wanted to and I’ve been reminded that humanity truly does have good in them. Thank you so so so much to everyone who donated $1, $5, $10, $15, $20 and every other amount, and thank you to the anonymous donator who so generously donated $2000. I am BAWLING thank you so much
Edit 5/27/25 — I did increase the goal a bit to help with the expenses of myself moving back to Florida to be closer to my dad and brother. I am in the process of job interviews, but again, anything helps on that front as well
