Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
My name is Dominick Jung. I’m a long time friend of Ha family.
It is with broken hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of Nathan Ha (하재윤), a beloved 7th grader at Roslyn Middle School, who tragically lost his life getting hit by the speeding pickup truck on Middle Neck Road off of Northern Blvd in Flower Hill on May 19th.
Nathan was a bright, kind-hearted, and joyful young boy who touched everyone he met. He was loved by his teachers and classmates, and his warmth and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on the Roslyn school community. Beyond school, Nathan was a cherished son, a caring sibling to a twin sister and a younger brother, and an active, faithful member of his church. His absence leaves an unimaginable void for all who knew him.
In this time of overwhelming grief, we are reaching out to support the Ha family with the unexpected expenses they now face—from funeral costs to time away from work as they begin the difficult process of healing.
We ask you to consider giving whatever you can, no matter the amount, to help ease the financial burden on the Ha family. More than anything, your prayers, your kindness, and your presence mean the world during this incredibly difficult time.
100% of proceeds will be forwarded directly to the family by a check or bank transfer.

Update(5/22): Ha family is deeply grateful for this overwhelming support from everyone. I’ve received the confirmation from gofundme that the funds will be available for the release tomorrow. I’ll keep everyone updated with the progress until the family receives the fund soon. Thank you everyone!
Update(5/23): Out of total funds collected, $29,665.94 is being transferred today. I will forward it to the father of Nathan as soon as it’s available.
According to Gofundme, the remaining balance $72,430.93 will be transferred by 5/30.
Update(5/26): Gofundme has updated the amount of funds for the initial transfer. Initially, $29,665.94 was set to be transferred, but now $72,430.93 is being transferred instead. $41,464.75 is the remaining balance to be transferred as of 7PM on 5/26.
Update(5/27): First funds transfer was cleared in my account today. It was immediately transferred to the father’s checking account for the amount of $72,430.93.
Update(5/31): Second funds transfer was completed for the amount of $21,989.73.
Additionally, $19,475.02 and $896.97 are being transferred to the Ha parents and expected to clear in the father’s account on Monday (6/2).
