– Supporting Our Family Through Tragedy
On May 22, 2025, our world changed forever. Our beloved daughter, Nevaeh Lee Hargis, took her own life. She was 17 years old—beautiful, brilliant, and deeply loved.
No words can fully express the heartbreak and shock our family is facing. Nevaeh was someone who lit up our lives with her smile, her gentle kindness, and her deep empathy. Behind that light, however, she struggled silently with pain we wish we could have helped her carry.
She was a beloved sister to Kylie and the best big sister anyone could ask for to her twin brothers, Aiden and Brayden. Her love for them was deep and unconditional, and the bond they shared was something truly special. Her absence has left a space in our family that can never be filled.
As we try to navigate this loss, we are also facing unexpected costs—funeral expenses, time off work, and mental health support for our family. We’re creating this GoFundMe to ask for help during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will ease the burden and allow us to focus on grieving, healing, and honoring Nevaeh’s life.

Nevaeh’s name is “heaven” spelled backwards—and that’s exactly where we believe she is now. We miss her with every heartbeat, and we will honor her memory always by speaking her name, sharing her story, and trying to help others feel less alone.
