At the Aussie-run, grassroots-fuelled Ads-Up Refugee Network, we’re driven by the belief that everyone deserves the chance to build a life for themselves and their family.

For hundreds of women, men, teens and kids who have been held in limbo on Manus and Nauru by the Australian government, more than seven years of their life have been stolen from them.

Now, more than 800 of those assessed to be genuine refugees have been given a new start under transfers to the United States – but many are arriving with serious health issues into a devastated economy with barely more than the clothes on their back.

Your donation will help ensure every family feels welcomed, every child has school supplies and every new arrival has access to healthcare, dental care, skills-training and well-paying job opportunities.

Where our governments have failed, we’re stepping up to repair the damage and ensure everyone has the best chance possible at a new life.

Newly arrived refugees are truly on the front lines of the Coronavirus crisis, and dozens are still arriving into cities which are now re-entering lockdowns as winter approaches. Most live paycheck-to-paycheck working minimum wage jobs and earlier arrivals were among the first to lose their jobs as the economic crisis hit.

We’ve mobilized Aussie volunteers across the United States to make sure everyone has support, but we need your help so we can provide stability and cover crucial medical and dental costs. It’s a brutal time to arrive with no job, no friends and no support network.

Together, we’re providing targeted emergency financial assistance and helping refugees find sustainable, covid-safe work so they can provide for themselves and their families.

Please chip in now so we can keep up this support for the duration of this crisis >>

Reports show the Coronavirus crisis is hitting poorer communities and immigrant communities significantly harder than anyone else in the US, in both terms of both health and economic impacts. That matches what we’re seeing on the ground, which is why we’re so grateful for every donor and volunteer who is stepping up to meet the moment.

Who are we? We’re a network of Aussies in the United States who have been working since May 2018 to support hundreds of refugees arriving from PNG and Nauru under the still ongoing Australian-US refugee deal. We’ve been profiled by the Sydney Morning Herald and other outlets for our work in the United States and in Canada. For more about us, visit our general fundraiser or our website: www.ads-up.org To receive updates on our USA and Canada resettlement projects, sign up to our mailing list here >> Donations are in USD. For information on tax-deductibility in the US, or to facilitate a cheque or bank transfer, email [email protected].

*This Fundraiser has been migrated from our campaign on GoFundMe. Chuffed is an Australian organization with a record of support for refugees, and we believe it provides a better user experience.
