Update Since June 2024 this has changed from a fundraiser for evacuation to a survival fundraiser for Ahmed’s family of 11 people.

I am Ahmed El Durra from Gaza City. I am a husband, and a father to 7 girls with twins on the way. I have a master’s in physical education from Al-Aqsa University, and have been working at my PhD at Al Butana University in Sudan. On November 2nd 2023 I received news – like so many of us in Gaza – that my home had been bombed and destroyed. Two days later it was news about the destruction of my source of livelihood: the gym that I opened in January 2023.
In Rafah, my family is living its days in crowded and degrading conditions. My wife is suffering so much: she is in her 8th month of pregnancy and it’s the fear and lack of proper nutrition that are affecting her.
I want to see my wife and children survive, and every day I fear Rafah will undergo a ground invasion that will kill thousands. Please help us to evacuate to Egypt. Timing means life or death for us all.
