Hello, my name is Jonathan Kohanski. I am based in the US and am setting up this fundraising account on behalf of the Al-Atrash family still in Khan Younis. I have known and been speaking to Soha for many months now and she has spoken about the needs of her parents, brothers, nieces, and nephews that are locate din Khan Younis after being displaced from Gaza City.

I met Soha shortly after she crossed over into Egypt with her cousin Samia, as they both crossed into Egypt together. I have been in contact with both of them for many months, Samia when she was still in Gaza and Soha shortly after they crossed into Egypt. I have continued talking with them daily since crossing into Cairo and adjusting to life there. I have heard so many painful stories of homes, lives, relatives, and friends lost due to the bombing campaigns that have been occurring for over 1 year now. Both Soha and Samia made the difficult decision to cross into Cairo, while their families are still enduring life within Gaza. With the border crossings all closed, her family, like so many others are still struggling with life in Gaza. With 11 people total, from parents in their 60’s down to her brothers and their young children (an infant and three toddlers ages 3-7), all are suffering after the occupation bombed their homes ma
