Hello All,

I have never met a people as gracious, loving and resilient as the Palestinians, even as the Zionist occupation continues to engineer a campaign of systemic destruction and ethnic cleansing. Nobody exemplifies this more than Asia and her lovely family. They’ve been displaced countless times, suffered from illness and malnutrition, and been reduced to using stone age technology in order to do simple daily tasks. They’ve been treated as if their lives have no dignity, no worth — but that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Despite all of the suffering and despair, Asia has managed to be eternally positive, warm and determined to continue her studies in early childhood education. Israel has exhausted every measure to deprive and despair the Palestinians from pursuing their dreams, educating themselves, and taking part in their culture, but Palestinians in Gaza refuse to capitulate. The least we can do as people in the West, especially those of us living in the US empire that has bankrolled and deliberately orchestrated the starvation and violence inflicted on the indigenous people, is materially help them as much as we can. Asia’s father’s place of business was demolished with an airstrike, as up to 90% of the Gaza Strip has been at one point or another, further handicapping their ability to produce money for themselves. Asia’s studies, which give her a purpose and accomplishment to strive for, are very costly. Additionally, prices for basic items such as diapers continue to be astronomically high, and food is as scarce as ever. There are several young kids in Asia’s family that have had their childhoods disrupted and marred by the horrors around them. Collectively as the human race, we cannot allow these precious young ones to starve and suffer. Especially after the latest act of humiliation and degradation with the “aid distribution center”, it’s very uncertain whether my friend will be able to feed her family without tremendous support from outside Gaza. Any donation, big or small, could be vital to helping my friend and her family survive. She means a lot to me, and while I wish we had encountered under much better circumstances, I can’t imagine my life without messaging her every day. Please, if you are able, find it within you to help these wonderful people.

Thank you,
