Please support this grandmother from Gaza city. She is in a desperate situation. I’ve known her for many years, but I have limited resources because I am a disabled pensioner. She tells her story very well:
My name is Samar Youssef, from the devastated city of Gaza. We are here with more than twenty people in a small place, most of them children and women. We lived through the horrors of the war in Gaza city. We were crying out to God because of the zionist bombing of us in Gaza, and it was a terrible bombing that I cannot describe.
It is a real tragedy and suffering. We were displaced, we were in Rafah for months, and after the zionist threat to destroy Rafah, we fled to Deir al-Balah, where we are now, because we are now without homes, without hospitals, without schools, and it looks like without a future and without hope for life.
We have been without our menfolk for all the months of desolation, and we cook food in this hot weather by lighting firewood. We live in tents, and our children get sick because of bad air, polluted water and lack of sanitation. We suffer malnutrition due to the lack of vegetables. We do not find enough to eat food and water is very expensive.
For 10 long months, we survive without working and get sick. We want to survive. I hope that you will support us in getting away from here as the occupation army orders us to move again. Please help us to buy food and water and medicine. Please help us so that I and my family can be stronger and survive.
