My name is Annabelle Wiese, and when I was 13 years old I met Hailey Huskey in chorus class. I had awful anxiety and I hated school, but she lit up my entire day. I made a best friend, and we’ve known each other for 6 years now. A couple years ago, Hailey had a benign tumor removed from her pancreas, meaning half of her pancreas was removed, as well as her entire spleen. She handled it like a champ, and we thought that was the end of it. But this year, we got bad news. Hailey discovered she had 7 tumors in her liver. She was diagnosed with metastasized pancreatic cancer, as well as peritoneal disease. Hailey is going to have to start chemo, and on top of that receive a liver transplant. For those who know Hailey, she would drop everything she is doing to help a friend. There’s not a place you can go where someone doesn’t know Hailey and is met with her smiling face. It would mean the world to me to be able to finance my best friends cancer treatment so she can focus on just getting better.
