Hi everyone! I am Alex Hayes, aunt to Bowen Horton, sister to Baylee Horton & Caleb Horton. Bowen Max Horton was born on March 6, 2025! A beaming light of joy in all of our lives, especially his mom & dad’s! I have created this GoFundMe for Baylee, Caleb, & Bowen to help with gas money, food, and medical bills to go towards Bowen’s open heart surgery that he will be having early this fall. On 8/27/2025, Baylee, Caleb, & Bowen received the call from Duke of plans for Bowen and his surgical team. This is a very stressful, emotional, and anxious time for this family. Baylee & Caleb would never ask for anything, but I have had multiple people reach out to me and ask what they can do to help them. First off, prayers! Keeping them in your prayers during this scary time is number one. Secondly, money towards little things such as snacks and gas goes a long way! Especially when they will be spending all of their time at the hospital with Bowen. Please help me pray for them and share this to help ease some of their burdens. Bowen’s backstory: Bowen has Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth. It is sometimes detected on ultrasound, but sometimes not, and his was not. He will have constant follow-up care with cardiologists and then he will be going to have open heart surgery to correct it at 6 months old. Please send up BIG prayers for him, his care team, and Caleb and Baylee. Add him to your prayer chains, church prayer list, etc. We’re beyond scared, nervous, and all the emotions, but we will stay strong for our precious boy and we know God will take care of our sweet boy and his sweet heart.
