At just 22 years old, my son Dyllan has suffered a life-altering stroke Monday evening — something no one should face, especially at such a young age. Being life-flighted to the Neuro ICU at Cleveland Hospital. This unexpected medical emergency has left him unable to work and facing an uphill battle toward recovery. The stroke has resulted in swelling in his brain and finding a hole in his heart. The stroke affected the cerebellum part of his brain which controls coordination , resulting in Dyllan having limited mobility in his left hand and leg impairment, and need for physical therapy and occupational therapy. With no steady income and mounting medical bills, Dyllan is struggling to cover essential costs — including rent, utilities, medications, rehabilitation, and daily living expenses.
