Hi, my name is Courtney and my life got turned upside down in a matter of minutes. My husband Kyle, 28 years old, woke up with a headache on Saturday, August 23rd, which quickly turned into stroke symptoms. I called EMS as soon as I could, and he got transported to Winchester Medical Center. Turns out he had a large brain bleed on the left side of his brain. Within an hour of finding out, they were airlifting him to Fairfax Hospital because of how critical his state was. He had to have brain surgery to remove part of his skull, and he’s on a ventilator. We never expected this to happen; there were no signs, just all of a sudden rushing out the door for help. It’s just him and me and our Jack Russell mix, Ronald. Kyle will need a lot of help down the road: doctor’s appointments, rehabilitation. He’s going to be out of work for several months before things will ever be somewhat normal again. These expenses are going to crash down on us hard without help. We need your help, not only so we don’t lose our house or cars but to make sure he continues to get the best treatments for his critical condition.
