As most of you know by now, Margit was diagnosed with ALS this past year. This has brought a lot of changes to their lives including walking poles that make Margit look like she’s going for a hike when she’s actually just crossing the street to get to Brewery ARS, a new school for Marianne and Leo so they can be closer to home, and now an upcoming move to a home at 8th and Snyder that sets them up with a first floor bedroom and an open floor plan for Margit’s scooter. We all know Margit, Marianne, and Leo from various walks of life, whether it be family, work, school, gym, or friends of friends of friends. It could even be that you were minding your own business when Margit started chatting with you and now you’re comparing your women’s soccer starting rosters. However you know them, you know how wonderful they are as people, as a couple, and as a family. While they already have had many, there will be many more unexpected life costs related to ALS . We are hoping to come together to ease some of this change. Please consider donating to help with moving costs and home accessibility modifications.
