Our beloved dad, husband, grandfather and friend Mike Richeson, has faced unimaginable challenges recently. In May, he suffered a severe leg fracture that required surgery. Since then, he has faced a blood clot and a severe infection of the knee requiring an additional surgery last week, with a follow up surgery at a later date after completion of 4-6 weeks of IV antibiotics. On Monday, after a brief discharge from the hospital, Mike suffered a heart attack that evening and was rushed back to UK. There doctors found two arteries that had 95% blockage ( a classic widow-maker). Thankfully he was able to receive stents to repair that evening. Mike is strong and selfless , always thinking of others first, especially his daughters Callie and Bailey whose needs he prioritizes above his own. The heart attack has prolonged Mike’s recovery bringing overwhelming financial strain to him and his wife Jill. He has been unable to return to work at Courtyard Deli since his fall in May. Mounting medical bills, physical therapy, prescription medications and time away from work have created a burden no family should bear alone. Jill is working tirelessly between PT and hospitalizations doing everything she can to keep their family afloat but this journey has been incredibly tough. Mike and Jill have always been there for others showing up with open hearts whenever someone needed help. Now they need our support. Any contribution no matter how small will make a difference as they navigate this difficult path. All funds will go directly to Mike and Jill to support Mikes treatment, related Medical expenses and household needs. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for standing by Mike and Jill.
