Everyone has his most beautiful sunshine in his ordinary life. Doris is mine. In 2013, we were so lucky to have baby Doris came to our lives, making our home colourful and bright. Every single day was a bless with her around. When she was sad she cried her heart out; when she was happy her infections laughter filled the room, and that reminded me of my long-gone childish laughter so well.
Early Sept 2017, we found her right eye was a bit crossed, and booked appointment with the opthalmologist. A few eye tests reveled she had a problem of double vision, which made the doctor “a bit worried”.We believed there must be something wrong with the eyes, and never ever thought of “Cancer”. A few days after her daycare educator called us, saying Doris was quite clumsy, tripping down quite often and even ran into doors and shelves. The oppthalmologist booked us the MRI in children’s hospital straightaway.
On 28 Sept, MRI showed there was a tumor on her brain stem. Clear and straight. Soon after we were told that the name of the disease, DIPG. It was like a thunder screamed across the sky when we got to know that for the past decades, there is no cures for it. DIPG, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma is a tumor located in the brainstem which is connects the cerebrum with the spinal cord. The majority of brain stem tumours occur in the pons and contains all of the afferent neurons within the spinal cord, as well as important structures involved in eye movements and in face and throat muscle control and sensation. Surgery to attempt tumour removal is not possible because by nature, these tumors invade diffusely throughout the brain stem, growing between normal nerve cells. Aggressive surgery would cause severe damage to neural structures vital for arm and leg movement, eye movement, swallowing, breathing, and even consciousness. For the last decades radiation is the only standard treatment but symptoms usually recur after 6 to 9 months and progress rapidly. Our hearts broken. Even now Doris is still happily singing and dancing in front of us as usual, even she is still unhappy and sadly crying as usual, we cannot imagine that one day… There is a voice broken in our broken heart: Save her!
We started researching and studying , from the Standford university’s scientific paper to the most up-to-day trials. From England’s trials to German experimental treatments. Finally, we found the in Monterrey hospital in Mexio, they use two treatments which are called Inter-arterial Chemotherapy and immunotherapy.By inter-arterial delivery, the drugs are delivered directly into the tumor area and thus overcoming the obstacles of the blood brain barriers. Meanwhile, by performing two tpyes of immunotherapies, the self-immunity system will be awakened to heal the abnormal symptoms. The denditiric cells are injected on both sides of the neck, there’s lymph nodes there that the denditric cells go into and train the rest of the immunesystem. The results are very promising, 95% of the children there see improvements , a smaller tumor and excellent quality of live. And even in Oct 2017, an American patient boy’s MRI scaning results showed NED (no evidence of disease) , which inspired everyone involved. However ,the expense is too expensive to afford at this moment, $11,000 USD to be paid up front prior to appointment confirmation and for IA and Immunotherapy we should expect to spend about over $35,000 each time just for the treatments.
She is still here with us when I’m typing these words. Actually she is arguing with her brother on “Who should mom hug now”, I miss these sweet argues but I don’t want them to become my last memories of her. Sometimes,I talk to myself,I shouldn’t think to much right now. Just remember that it is not yet to give up. To go through this hard time, we plea for support. Let’s do it together. I cannot imagine what if Doris become one of the winner of this brutal battle someday but I really hope to see it.
Please contact me if any supporting documents required.
She is still here with us, the hope still remains.
Sincerely

Hi fellow donatees, I was wondering if anyone wanted to join in my idea to help raise money for the Sun family. I build websites for a living and was going to offer a website build or two in exchange for donating my usual build fee (approx $1500-$2500) to this cause. Anyone else have some services they can sell to help raise money? Please feel free to share my portfolio if you know of any business owners who could use a new website: https://www.localbusinessleads.com.au/portfolio Let’s help the family the best we can! Thanks 🙂 David
