Hi I’m Janet. Fadi, my friend, is in need of dire help. He has been private and refrained from asking much over the last year but is in a situation that cannot be ignored.

Fadi’s 15 month old son, Fouad, will require an expensive operation will cost over $2500. This campaign is to raise funds to cover the surgery, medication, food, and fees which is currently 40% to obtain cash. That’s why the campaign goal is higher than the costs noted. Please help Fouad receive the care that he needs.

Fouad was hospitalized for the past week and is still there. Ive been messaging Fadi back and forth, I didn’t realize that I didn’t include the update on the site. Fouad has his intestine protruding out of his stomach. A picture of the original condition is already on the site. Fadi noticed they were hanging out significantly more last week and took him to the hospital. The cost from the hospital stay alone for this week is $1500…. Fouad’s situation is critical and as soon as his infection is treated, he will go straight into operation. Fouad has to continue being monitored in the hospital and we don’t know how long that will be. This was not an expected cost….. I’ve already personally donated from working overtime and cut most of my personal costs to plan for Fouad’s operation and overall support for individuals in Gaza…. If you can continue to donate and/or share Fouad’s campaign, would greatly be appreciated.. Thank you.

Hello. I recently posted an update but there some news and wanted to keep all supporters and donors informed. Fouad surgery has been pushed back a month to the first week of Oct now. He currently has stomach flu, infections, and a cystic worm. Honestly, I’m not a dr so I don’t know what exactly this all means. Fouad can’t have surgery with this complications. He is currently in extreme pain and was in the hospital. Antibiotic medication was prescribed and the recent treatment/meds cost almost $300.

Fadi is really grateful for all the donations. The pushback is worrying for all. We don’t know what the conditions will be and it increases the costs.. Fouad right now needs a bag on his stomach that is changed out daily. That bag by itself is $30/day. He is still low on protein. I asked Fadi to get things like fish but he said the minimum he has to buy is $300. We have the money for the surgery. I ask that if you are able within the next month, to continue support, even if $5, to allow Fadi to cover Fouad’s medical needs and also purchase milk and whatever food is available in the market, especially food with protein. Thank you.

Everyone, thank you so much for your donations and support to date. Some of the funds was used in order to strengthen Fouad with food in preparation of the surgery which is coming up in 2 weeks. There is a little more food available for purchase in the markets but prices remain high and Fadi told me he is having a hard time finding milk. Even if found, a carton is $120. In Fouad’s latest checkup, he was told he needs more protein. I have a recent photo of Fouad included.

Please know your donations are going 100% to Fadi for Fouad’s care. I will be sending additional money separately to cover Fouad needs for a week of care in the hospital after the surgery.

I ask that you continue to support Fouad and Fadi if you can. Even $5 makes a difference. Many people selected optional extra to Chuffed but I ask that you direct any extra for Fouad’s treatment and food. I’ve had several surgeries in the past and know food is vital to healing.
