Help a Gazan Family Survive
United States
My name is Maeve and I’m raising funds to help the Qudaih family survive genocide and displacement in Gaza.
The Qudaih family is originally from the town of Khuza’a, where they had a plot of land they made a living from by growing a variety of fruits and vegetables and raising livestock. Their homes and land have since been bombed and destroyed beyond usability and they’ve faced unimaginable hardships for the over 20 months they’ve spent living in one small tent with 9 people. They’ve been displaced multiple times to different supposed “safe zones” which are continually targeted and bombed by occupation forces. They’ve endured extreme hot and cold temperatures, malnutrition, limited access to fresh water and medicine, and the constant threat of displacement and death.
I got to know the family through Qusai Qudaih, who I’ve been in touch with now for over a year, coordinating with him to raise funds to help purchase necessary food and supplies amid soaring prices caused by the ongoing blockade. Before the conflict, Qusai was in his final year of high school, studying for the Tawjihi exam, a very important test Palestinian students must take in order to apply to university. Qusai dreamed of studying computer science, but the genocide cut off his access to education, and he now spends his day doing whatever he can to help his parents and six siblings survive.
While I originally started fundraising for the Qudaih family in hopes of raising enough money to help them evacuate to Egypt, due to extreme inflation, they desperately need donations just to afford basic supplies to live.
Please donate whatever you can and share this fundraiser widley. Thank you very much for your support.
