Hello, I am a refugee from Gaza who evacuated just before the Rafah border closed. Currently I live in Egypt with my two disabled parents and am their primary carer. It is very difficult for me to work in office due to my parents health, and this limitation has affected my financial stability.
I am deeply anxious about life here as the only source of income for my family. In Gaza, I worked as a graphic designer and concept artist and had stable income. After moving i have lost everything I own, I dont even have permanent access to equipment I can use to work.
Currently I have been offered a role at an indie gaming studio as a junior artist and have been offered contract work for an advertising agency. I need a laptop or PC and auxiliary devices as well as a desk in order to commit to full time work. This will allow me to WFH, provide for my family and remove the anxiety of not knowing how the month will go. I would like my dignity back, I would like to live again.
