A message from Ahmad:

Hello, I am Ahmed. I want to tell you my story about the war. I am 25 years old, newly married, living in the Gaza Strip and displaced in Khan Younis. I am unemployed. Before the war, I used to work in a restaurant and a café, and our life was happy. Before the war, I now live with my family in a tent of 12 people. We have two children who need food, winter clothes, and diapers. These two children were enjoying their beautiful, warm, and quiet home. Before the war, my wish was to live in an independent home, but now I live with my family in the same tent. We were living happy and stable days. My family and I suddenly, without warning, left our home after we left the house. There was a glimmer of hope that I would return home and meet it as it was. Days after I left, they told me that my house had been burned and completely destroyed. My life had become a nightmare. The feeling of oppression, pain, and sadness did not leave me. Because the house was destroyed, I could not provide a comfortable life for my wife and family after the destruction, and my brother’s children’s toys were burned. They are now in a bad psychological state because they live a very difficult life. A few days later, our life turned into hardship. In the tent, we cooked food on the fire and baked bread with difficulty as well. All the beautiful memories were burned in the blink of an eye. Sight, . Now we no longer have a home and no source of income to live from. Our dreams and ambitions were shattered in an instant. Children became ill. They need healthy food, warm housing, and a source of livelihood to live from, and to provide them with all their daily needs. Every day that passes increases our suffering more and more with the scarcity of food and lack of health care. With the absence of health care and the high prices of goods, we need you to contribute to bringing joy and smiles back to the faces of my family and my brother’s children and ensuring a decent life for them like the rest of the children in the world. A donation campaign to help us live through the difficult days and war, rebuild the house and rebuild it again after it was destroyed, secure a source of livelihood for us, and bring joy and happiness back to me and my family.

Update from previous GoFundMe: Our destroyed house update August 2024 “300 days later” Thank you for your support, it helped us secure some supplies. We have been displaced again and. Currently in a tent by the side of a street. Although the weather is very cold, and the rain is very heavy, we are worried about the rain, the tents are not holding up.

Thankfully, we do have photos of the babies with their warm clothing!

UPDATE!

Thanks to your donations and some in-person fundraising, Ahmad was able to save up to rent an old apartment for his 12 person family!

The monthly rent is $1,000 because survival in Gaza is incredibly expensive. Please keep supporting so they can keep their new housing and avoid getting sick again from the cold.

The entire family has been infected with a horrible rash that keeps spreading.

Baby Misk has been hit the hardest, but we are also incredibly worried about little Emad and Ahmad’s pregnant wife.

Clean water and soap are very expensive in Gaza, creating a lack of hygiene. Living in a tent creates constant exposure to germs, which complicates healing.

They desperately need:

All support is needed and appreciated!

Ahmad’s pregnant wife will be giving birth soon and we want to make sure that this baby is safe both before and after birth! As some of you may know, Ahmad and his wife lost their first child due to a miscarriage. The rate of miscarriages is now skyrocketing in Gaza due to malnutrition and level of stress that the mother is constantly under.

They will be in need of professional medical assistance on the day she delivers so, of course, your donations can literally save their baby!!

Ahmad and his wife cannot bear another loss on top of everything they are already dealing with, so please give what you can.

Ahmad was forced to evacuate twice last month. Heavy bombing and IDF orders forced them out of their housing, leaving them in a broken tent filled with holes.

Baby Misk and her parents were injured in a bombing. They were left bleeding and rushed to the hospital. Thankfully, they are healing. But the trauma remains.

The main risk to their health currently is starvation. Food has become scarce with the aid blockade, and prices keep rising. Baby Misk and little Emad are losing weight constantly.

Ahmad is terrified for his family. He can’t stand to watch the babies die. Immediate help with food is desperately needed.
