Help Arya Fight High-Risk Neuroblastoma
Our sweet Arya is just 2.5 years old. She recently became a big sister—a role she was so excited about. But shortly after her baby brother was born, we noticed Arya wasn’t quite herself. She was losing weight, struggling to sleep and we initially thought she was just having a tough time adjusting to all the big changes. But then we noticed a lump near her clavicle.
Her pediatrician sent her straight to the ER, where x-rays revealed something none of us were prepared for: a large tumor. After several days of testing, our worst fears were confirmed—Arya has been diagnosed with high-risk malignant neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that starts in immature nerve cells.
High-risk neuroblastoma is one of the most challenging pediatric cancers to treat. It often requires an intense and lengthy treatment plan, and for Arya, that means at least 18 months of aggressive therapies. Her journey will include multiple rounds of chemotherapy, surgery to remove the tumor, stem cell transplants, radiation, immunotherapy, and frequent hospital stays. There’s a strong chance we will need to travel between hospitals, possibly out of state, to get her the most advanced care available.
We’re raising funds to help cover the overwhelming costs associated with Arya’s care—from medical bills not covered by insurance, to travel and lodging expenses, and to allow her parents to take time away from work to be by her side every step of the way.
Arya is a bright, strong, and joyful little girl. She loves singing, laughing and cuddling with family and helping her teachers at school. She has a long road ahead, but we are confident in her strength—and in the love and support of our community.
Please consider donating or sharing Arya’s story. Every dollar and every share helps lighten the load for her family and brings Arya one step closer to healing.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
