My name is Bashar Muhammad Kullab , and I am 32 years old. I am a Palestinian resident of Khan Yunis in the south of the Gaza Strip. When the war on Gaza City began, we were displaced to the city of Rafah, after we were informed that the area in which I and the residents of the area live would be evacuated by the Israeli army. My family consists of 9 individuals.
Ibtihaj Kullab 59, mother Musab Kullab eldest brother Bashar Mohamed Kullab, 32, brother Amal Mohamed Kullab, 26, sister Suhaib Mohamed Kullab, 24, sister Aif Mohamed Kullab, 22, sister Muhannad Kullab, youngest brother Shouruog, Muhannad’s wife
We now live in a narrow tent that cannot accommodate my family in the city of Rafah, to which we were displaced, and which does not protect us from rain and cold, and also does not protect us from bombing and shrapnel.
What is unfortunate is the situation we have reached and seeing them in a difficult condition due to the war and the difficult conditions we have reached, especially since before the war we were not lacking in anything, because we are unable to meet basic and daily needs, such as: food, drink, and housing, that is, we lack the human needs of Maslow’s triangle. Due to the lack of income and the high cost of living due to the war.
The prices here in Gaza are very high. I plan to use these donations to evacuate my family from the Rafah crossing to escape death. Each person’s evacuation costs $5,000.
We also need funds for the following expenses:
Evacuation cost: $5,000 per person Monthly rent and living expenses: $3,000 Transportation costs inside Gaza: $100 per person Transportation costs inside Egypt: $500 per person
My brothers and I had the ambition to complete our studies, as we have an engineer, a teacher, a doctor, and a laboratory analysis specialist, but unfortunately none of my brothers work because of the war-stricken area.
What upsets us most is that we were displaced from our home and did not take with us clothes, bedding, or anything, and we were displaced to a tent with less than enough amenities. There are also my favorite animals who were displaced with us, and we have owned them for 3 years, and we cannot feed them or protect them from bombing because of the war, and what is also unfortunate is that they do not have a place to sleep, or to protect them from rain, cold, and bombing, or even provide them with their favorite food.
These are pictures of our house that was bombed, and the entire square was bombed, and this is what we had in this city. The house is gone and all the memories are gone with it, and the great pain is that all our memories were in this house, and we suffered a lot to build the house, and the period of building the house was more than 5 years later, and here he is as if nothing happened.
Today, we have no shelter except this tent after the end of the war. This is a picture of me at my workplace before the war. The destruction affected the area that I used as a source of livelihood.
It provided for my family, as I had studied a bachelor’s degree in basic education, but due to the hardships of life and wars in my city, and the lack of work, I worked in a field of work that differed from my field of study, which was the field of libraries and printing.
My family and I hope and hope that you will support us to get out of this afflicted area, because you are our only hope for me and my family to survive and go to safety, and be certain that any amount, even if it is small, will have a big impact for us…
Thank you.
