Hello, My name is Asra and I am organizing this fundraiser for a young widowed mother in Gaza who is responsible for three children who are in need of medical care. I moved this campaign to chuffed because GFM took 3% of each donation. At chuffed, you can make an optional contribution to the platform ( or zero it out ) but it will not take fees out of your intended donation away from her. A Call for Help to Survive
My name is Benstal Mezyd, 25 years old, and I am writing to you with a heavy heart, hoping to find some relief for my children and myself. My husband has been missing since the war on Gaza began on October 7, assumed martyred. Every day, I struggle to keep hope alive and provide for my three young children in these dire circumstances.
My eldest son, Anas, is just five years old. My daughter, Inas, who is three, suffers from severe eye problems that require major surgeries. My heart breaks knowing that she needs urgent medical attention that I cannot afford. My youngest, Samad, is an infant who depends entirely on me and has needed to be hospitalized.
To support my family, I make and sell bread daily with an injured wrist, barely managing to earn three dollars, just enough to feed my children. The struggle to find clean water and sufficient food is relentless and exhausting. Despite my efforts, every day feels like a battle for survival.
I am pleading for your support. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives. Your generosity can help us secure the medical care Inas desperately needs and provide some stability for my children during these trying times.
