Edit/Update: holy moly. we were not expecting that! I cannot express the joy i’m feeling right now. I’ve been trying to thank everyone individually but it’s gotten a little hard to keep track of!

On advice from friends, we’ve decided to increse the goal amount, taking into consideration the ticket sales from in person events and raffles and such to come!

My name is Blake, but most of you will know me as Dionysus. Your local 5 foot tall, wanna-be glamourous, sometimes too enthusiastic but generally well-meaning, drag queen. I’m also transgender. You probably already know this. I do make a lot of weird performance art pertaining to it. On August 9th, i’ll be getting top surgery.

Top surgery is a gender affirming surgery, that involves a double mastectomy and nipple grafts, that for many trans people like myself can be life saving. To make things as clear as possible: i’m chopping off my boobs. “Yeeting the teet”, if you will.

Surprise! Retail and occasional drag gig’s aren’t exactly the highest paying jobs. So, i’m asking for help. Have i kept you entertained on your saturday nights? Did seeing me walk around my old high schools with home hair dye jobs that dodgy make you feel better about yourself? Are you stuck reading this beacause you’re unfortunately blood related to me? Like any surgery, top surgery has layers of costs. Here’s a few of them.

As you can see, things add up quickly. Easily reaching over $12000 before accounting for unforseen circumstances, my mother taking time off work to assist me, fuel to travel to Sydney, etc.

I’m reaching out to my friends and family to help ease the burden so I can move on with my life and continue to celebrate trans joy and happiness.

I’m aiming to raise at least $3000 to cover the time off work, Although the more the merrier! So please consider donating or sharing with your networks.
