My sister and her husband are suffering severely with such a tragic event taken place with themselves and their 3 year old daughter named Hiba. They were on holidays in Turkey from sydney when they all suddenly became violently ill. All have contracted food poisoning. The father was discharged earlier in the week but the mother and little girl are currently still in hospital, the mother is unable to move due to lack of energy and the 3 year old girl is on LIFE SUPPORT due to her heart failing as well as kidney and liver failure at present. (Update 31/07/2018 mother has been discharged but is still very weak. She is trying to deal with this ordeal but thanks everybody deeply from the bottom of her heart) What was initially food posioning in the little one is now also Myocardities which is inflammation of a layer of the heart caused by the food poisoning or a viral infection. She is currently in a coma as her heart stopped and was restarted by doctors having to open her chest and physically massage her heart to try to restart it. As well as being unable to breath by herself for the past several days her kidneys and liver function have dropped rapidly. She has had a tube placed in her chest to allow her to breath assisted. She is currently on a machine that is assisting with pumping her heart manually as her body isnt able to function and the doctors in turkey have stated to see a result she needs a minimum of 25 days on going care with this machine which is close to almost $80,000 AUD for just her time in hospital. Unfortunately the parents have left 4 other children back in sydney under the care of family who are absolutely devastated and over whelemed in not being by their sister and parents side. We are looking for any financial help to assist in the care of her now and on going until she is strong enough to get back on her feet and hopefully be flown home as well as allowing the parents to stay in turkey and be by this 3 year olds side without having to worry about finances as travel insurance wasnt obtained and the Australian Governemnt isnt able to assist with money but have offered moral support. They are paying $2000 EUR at one of the top hospitals located in Instanbul which is equivalent to roughly $3200 AUD per night so far the parents have spent $35,000 and have had to borrow money off family and friends but the funds are now limited and we need to reassure these parents that the community is by their side and doing what they can back here in sydney. If you could please help us donate towards such a good cause to help a little girl and her family through such a horrific and unthinkable time it would be greatly appreciated.
