Help Honor Brandon O’Brien’s Life with a Loving Farewell

Hello, my name is Thomas Maltezos, and it is with a shattered heart that I share that my beloved husband, Brandon O’Brien, died by suicide on May 26, 2025. He was just 35 years old.

Brandon is the love of my life, my home, my heart, my everything. He is kind, thoughtful, and full of quiet strength. To know him is to be embraced by warmth, empathy, and sincerity. Brandon loves building LEGOs, traveling, going to the gym, going to Disney world, and running. He is deeply adored his animals, especially our cat, Pumpkin, and dog, CJ.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Brandon is a cherished son to Teresa (Langan) Young and the late Anthony Young, Sr. He is survived by many who loved him deeply:

• His siblings: Edward O’Brien, Anthony Young, Stacey Young, Brandi Young, and Alivia Young

• His mother-in-law: Michelle Owens

• His sisters-in-law: Angelina Maltezos and Mia Van Vlack

• His brother-in-law: Zachary Maltezos

• His many nieces and nephews: Allison, Anthony, Connor, Alex, Justin, Zoey, and Athena

Brandon worked as an executive assistant and made every space better with his quiet grace and unwavering loyalty. I am completely heartbroken without him. There is no day I had with Brandon that I would trade, I would do it all over again. I miss him with every piece of my soul.

I am raising $7,500 to help cover the costs of Brandon’s funeral and reception. This will allow us to honor him with the love, dignity, and peace he deserves.
