Hello My name is Johnnie Johnson, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my friend Ibrahim Hamdan. He and his family are currently suffering in Gaza trying to survive the winter.

He has 4 family members in need of evacuation from the onslaught of destruction and death by Israel. Everywhere in Gaza is very dangerous to live and they are running out of food. Sounds of IDF bombing neighborhoods, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure wake them in the night, and they can only wonder when they will be next. Israel has cut off most water, electricity, fuel, and food supply to the Gaza Strip. Everybody is either starving or skipping meals to survive. Water is also extremely limited, and contaminated. Prices for food have been jacked up due to shortage, and my friend and his family can’t afford it anymore.

The IDF bombed the house Hamdan grew up in. He has almost died several times since the start of this genocide. He has witnessed things that nobody should have to. He is only 26 Before the “war” began, Hamdan had finished his Bachelor of Nursing studies at a university in Gaza. Israel bombed that university, of all 12 in Gaza. Israel has completely crushed his hopes of completing his Master’s degree in Gaza.

Hamdan and his family are in need of immediate funding to:

• Provide food, $2,500 (allocated until a specific number is determined)

• Evacuate all 4 family members

4 adults x $5,000 + minimum $2,000 to evacuate Hamdan’s family

• Additional fees and expenses not yet calculated.

Please help Hamdan and his family escape the genocide that Israel is committing in Gaza. They have lived through a year and four months of continuous bombing, blockade, forced starvation, destruction of medical facilities, schools, infrastructure, and a general deterioration in the quality of life. They are tired. They want to live a normal life and enjoy basic human rights, as they should.

The Hamdan family is among thousands of families in Gaza who are now seeking outside funding just to survive. The truth is, these are ordinary people like you and me. Israel has no intention of stopping its total destruction of Gaza. Either pay $5,000 or eventually die of hunger, disease, thirst, health complications, or immediately drop a bomb. None of this will stop unless we dismantle Zionism, the ideology behind the genocide. We have been calling for a ceasefire for a year and four months, but we have been denied a ceasefire for a year and four months. Calling for a ceasefire is not enough. We, the people outside, need to do more.
