Help Ismail’s Family Rebuild Their Lives

About Ismail and his family
Ismail is a young Palestinian man living in Cairo. Ismail’s family is from Khan Younis. In the fall of 2023, IOF bombs destroyed Ismail’s family home while the family was living there. Even though these first bombs did not detonate, their weight and size alone caused enough damage to break through walls and cause massive destruction. This destruction of the family home and the constant orders to evacuate forced the family to become refugees within Gaza. Multiple generations of Ismail’s family have been constantly displaced, including children and elders. The administrators of this campaign have been continually raising money for Ismail’s family since July 2021. These funds have been vital in helping the family secure scarce food, drink, medicine, and other needed supplies while they were displaced and living in tents.
As of January 28, 2025, Ismail’s family has recently returned to their home in Khan Younis. Upon returning, they discovered that the home was hit by IOF bombs a second time during the siege. The family home is in an uninhabitable state, and we must help Ismail’s family rebuild.

After more than 470 days of siege, Ismail’s family needs immediate funds. This is a crucial moment. All funds raised by this campaign will be sent to Ismail in Egypt.
The process of depositing money from fundraising platforms, transferring the funds to Ismail in Cairo, and then eventually getting the funds to the family can take up to 20 days, so it is critical that we fundraise quickly to minimize the amount of time Ismail’s family spends struggling to purchase necessary items.
Please help us raise money so Ismail’s family they start rebuilding a life after months of traumatic loss.

Our fundraising efforts up until this point
We have continuously raised funds for Ismail’s family since July 2021 via crowdfunding, fundraising events, and online campaigns. Funds sent to Ismail’s family in Gaza have been used to pay off debts to other families in Gaza who helped with necessities after Ismail’s family home was first bombed. Additional funds have been used to pay inflated prices for food, water, and other necessities. Ismail has calculated that the cost of living in Gaza right now can reach up to $500 a day for a family of his size.
We are collecting money from the United States and will use trusted methods to get Ismail’s family the funds. The administrators of this campaign have previously sent funds to Ismail’s family and have been able to confirm with his relatives in Gaza that the funds were received.
Here is the most recent update from Ismail, which I’m sure many of you saw on social media. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated in the last few days. We are asking everyone who has supported Ismail’s family in the past to share this campaign with one other person. We are hoping to raise at least $10,000 for the family.
Update: Ismail’s family in Gaza is running out of food.
The hell that the occupation has created is unimaginable and unbearable. Many are starving and the extremely scarce flour that is left is impossibly expensive.
A comrade in communication with Ismail was told yesterday that a bag of flour at about 25 kilo costs over $500. There are also no diapers, no milk, and only contaminated water.
Not only is his family starving and officially out of bread, but four of his family members, including two children, have developed infections. And of course, due to the siege and constant attacks on hospitals and medical infrastructure, medicines for the injured and infected are extremely difficult to attain.
We are seeking to raise 10k for them, and still have $6.5k left toward that ($10,000) goal.
