Muaz, a resilient 20-year-old from Deir al-Balah, Gaza, had always been determined to carve out a better future for himself. Despite the

overwhelming challenges of finding employment in Gaza, he dedicated years to mastering a specific trade, striving to overcome the obstacles life threw his way. His hard work and perseverance began to pay off as he became proficient in his field, slowly building a stable source of income to support himself and his family. However, the onset of the war changed everything. In an instant, all of Muaz’s sources of income were obliterated, leaving him jobless for the past ten months. The destruction also forced him to abandon his education, a dream he had fought so hard to pursue. The relentless conflict and the constant threat of violence have taken a severe toll on his mental health, leaving him in a state of profound psychological distress. Muaz’s life has been marked by fear and displacement. He has narrowly escaped death more than 150 times.
