My name is Megan, and I’m organising this fundraiser for Muhammad Mahmoud, a 22-year-old from Gaza who has lived through unimaginable hardship.
Muhammad shares his story in his own words:
*“I am Muhammad Mahmoud from Gaza, born in 2002. I have lived through many destructive wars. I did not live my childhood like the children of the world. I did not live a childish life—I lived my life in Gaza, an unstable country under occupation. My childhood was spent in the midst of conflict, war, bombing, annihilation and destruction.
I am the eldest son in a family of 12. As a child, I took on responsibility and worked—repairing cars, doing construction, selling clothes—just to bring food and provide a better life for my family.
Our home was destroyed by the occupation, and with it, all our memories. My family was displaced multiple times. They were forced to the southern Gaza Strip, while I remained in the north—alone, spinning in hunger and deprived of even seeing them. For a year and a half, I lived without my family.
I have seen death. I went 12 days without food and thought I would die of starvation. But by the grace of God, I survived. I have lost many of my childhood friends, my relatives, and those I loved.
And still we struggle—to survive, to protect the little ones, the children who deserve to live. I ask you, with all my heart, to help me save my family from hunger. I hope my message reaches people of compassion and conscience. I hope you can be a helping hand. Thank you, and may God bless you.”* Muhammad is currently living in the rubble of his destroyed home, recovering from a serious hand injury caused by bombing. He is hungry, displaced, and isolated from his family. This fundraiser will help Muhammad and his loved ones access food, medicine, and basic survival needs.

Mohammeds family is in an area that recieved a new displacement notice. The occupation say they will bomb this area heavily, but without donations this family has no option other than to stay. Due to so many people being displaced and Israels ongoing blockade, tents cost $900 AUD. This family urgently needs your support
