Help my family have a good life
Slovakia
Hello, I’m Timea from Slovakia, and I’ve launched this fundraising campaign for Raneen. Stand with her family and help them by donating or sharing. Help Raneen and her siblings rebuild their lives after losing everything they had left. She and nine other family members in the Deir al-Balah refugee camp in central Gaza. For eight months, her family survived shelling and gunfire during the hottest and harshest summer days, as well as a lack of basic supplies and access to services. Despite a ceasefire and the continued provision of apparent relief for the children, the nightmare is far from over, and the future remains uncertain. Raneen and her family have no home, and building a new home is the question of rebuilding Gaza. It may be years before her family can do so. Like so many other families in Gaza, they are able to return to normal life, which, as anyone who has known Gaza can see, is not what it was. They are surviving, though they are exhausted and deeply anxious about what might come next. I have lived through the explosions, the fear, and the destruction in our memories, and now we are crammed into a small temporary shelter that barely protects us from the cold, struggling to find food. Even when aid does reach Gaza, it is sold at unaffordable prices, medicine is scarce, and my family and younger siblings are sick and stressed. My dream is to rebuild not just our home, but our lives. I want my family to feel safe again, my siblings to return to school, and to have hope for their future. I want them to know that even after all we have been through, there is still kindness in the world. My little sister needs treatment for widespread diseases. Please help us.
