Story
Hi, my name is Rory Reichenbach. I’m a 38-year-old father of two boys—Rory (10) and Luke (8)—and husband to Jennifer Haber, my partner in everything. I’ve built my life around working hard as a carpenter to support our family, but on May 20, 2025, everything changed: I was diagnosed with Stage III synovial sarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer.
It began with a mass in my foot last summer. After surgery in March 2025, we hoped the tumor was gone—but a recent CT scan revealed a new 6 cm growth. Thankfully, the cancer is still isolated to my foot. My team at the University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is optimistic. The treatment plan includes another surgery, six rounds of chemotherapy starting in June, and radiation.
With treatment lasting through at least September and me unable to work, the financial strain is overwhelming. Medical expenses, travel for care, and day-to-day costs are more than we can manage alone.
Jennifer has stood by me through every step, holding our family together while caring for our boys. I’m fighting to be there—to cheer at their games, teach them life skills, and grow old with the woman I love.
Any contribution will help us cover treatment costs and keep our family going during this critical time. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing our story.
With heartfelt thanks,
Rory Reichenbach
