This is a desperate plea for help.
Maryam is only 8 years old, and she is suffering from severe acute malnutrition disease. Her tiny body is wasting away. Her mother, Delal, reached out to me last year seeking support, and I have tried to help in every way I could. But the situation in Gaza has only worsened.
Because of the brutal blockade imposed by the occupation, food, medicine, and basic necessities are nearly impossible to access. The health system has collapsed. Maryam’s condition has deteriorated rapidly, and she is now in critical need of specialized medical care—and possibly evacuation when a humanitarian corridor opens.
Her mother is caring not only for Maryam, but for her three other young children, all of them living under constant threat and deprivation. This family is holding on by a thread.

مريم تبلغ من العمر 8 سنوات فقط، وتعاني من مرض سوء تغذية حاد يهدد حياتها. جسدها الصغير يضعف يوماً بعد يوم. تواصلت والدتها، دلال، معي العام الماضي طالبة المساعدة، وقد حاولت تقديم ما أستطيع. ولكن الوضع في غزة ازداد سوءاً.
بسبب الحصار القاسي المفروض من قبل الاحتلال، أصبح من شبه المستحيل الحصول على الطعام والدواء والاحتياجات الأساسية. النظام الصحي انهار بالكامل. حالة مريم تدهورت بسرعة، وهي الآن بحاجة ماسة إلى رعاية طبية متخصصة — وربما إلى إجلاء طبي إذا توفرت فرصة لذلك.
والدتها ترعى مريم بالإضافة إلى ثلاثة أطفال آخرين، وجميعهم يعيشون تحت الخطر والحرمان المستمر. هذه العائلة تقاتل من أجل البقاء.
