Story

Hi,
My name is Sherice. My son Wyatt is 8 years old, and he’s in need of a surgery to help save his ONE remaining functioning eye. At birth, he was diagnosed with several conditions but one called SEPTO-OPTIC-DISPLASIA (SOD). This condition affects the optic nerves which causes OPTICAL NERVE HYPOPLASIA, the loss of the midline structure of his brain and pituitary development. It causes him to have blurry vision and eventually caused complete loss of vision in his right eye. He also has AMBLYOPIA (seeing from one eye) and NYSTAGMUS, an uncomfortable and uncontrollable shaking of the eye. AND he has crossed eye which causes him discomfort when trying to see anything. His one functioning eye is starting to deteriorate so surgery is crucial. He is scheduled for surgery at THE BOSTON CHILDREN HOSPITAL on June 5th 2025, and we are seeking your help to get the down payment for this initial procedure. We are hoping you can help us reach this goal and help save Wyatt’s remaining sight.

We thank you all so much in advance for anything you can do to support our boy, and we appreciate the love and well wishes.
