Help support a friend in need

Story

Hello! My name is Jackie and I am hoping to raise funds to help support a friend and her family through a tough time. Jen and her husband (Jay) were vacationing in Texas when he became very sick. He was seen at a stand alone emergency room and later transferred to a larger hospital with admitting capabilities. He was diagnosed with the flu but his condition prompted more investigating. An ECHO showed his EF was 15%. He declined rapidly and was transferred to the ICU, intibated, started on pressers, and an impella device was placed to help his heart. After the latest update he has been extubated but the impella is still doing much of the work. He has is battling sepsis with persistent fevers over 101 and cardiogenic shock. Some family has flown down to be with Jen and Jay during this time.
