Help the Burke Family Give Sam the Goodbye She Deserves

Samantha fought her last and hardest battle after a tragic motorcycle accident Monday night left her with injuries her little body and brain simply couldn’t recover from. She took her last breath at 2:20 PM on Tuesday, May 28 in Iowa City, where she had been flown for emergency care. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit — vibrant, loving, and radiant — will live forever in our hearts.

Samantha was truly one of a kind. Her smile could light up any room, her heart was pure gold, and her love for her family, friends, and especially her nephews, knew no bounds. She was beautiful inside and out — an old soul full of life, laughter, and endless compassion.

As I am sure you can all imagine, the family is overwhelmed with grief, and as they face the unimaginable, are also burdened with funeral costs. As with most of us, the family has limited resources and, unfortunately, Samantha had no life insurance.
