Hello, my name is Fedaa, and I am the mother of six children.

Our lives changed completely when my husband’s photography and editing business was destroyed in a bombing—his office, cameras, and all his equipment were lost. Since then, we’ve been struggling to survive. My husband was also injured in the foot while trying to get flour for our family. Now, our 15-year-old son, Firas, bears a heavy burden as he tries to find work to help support us.

We are suffering even in the simplest aspects of life. Access to basic necessities like salt, clean water, and food is a daily challenge. My youngest children—twins Siraj and Sarah, who are 4, and twins Rahaf and Raghad, who are 8—need nourishment and care that we are struggling to provide.

Firas and my daughter Rafeef, our oldest, were among the top of their classes. Now, instead of being in school where they belong, they spend their days waiting in long lines for food at the soup kitchen or collecting drinking water. Their dreams have been put on hold by a reality no child should have to face.

Here in Gaza, even the simplest things have become nearly impossible. Basic human rights are out of reach.

I share our story in the hope that my voice will be heard. Please help us face these hardships and give my children a chance at a better future.
