Hello,I’m Yousef, a Level 5 computer systems engineering student. On 7/10/2023,I woke up as usual for university and prepare for the graduation project, but then war began.
Here are a few moments from my Our life before the war.
On the seconed day of the war, while my mother and I were making breakfast, a violent explosion shookthe house. We saw only dust and falling debris.A nearby house was hit, severely damaging ours, but thankfully we were unharmed.
On same day,my uncle was martyred, and the pain of war grew with the loss of my aunt, her daughter, her son, and more loved ones.
Several nearby houses were targeted, so we moved to my aunt’s house, then to other locations that day
Then we were forced by the occupation to move to the south of the Gaza Strip.
My family and I were displaced without taking anything .
Then, after a while, the army ordered the evacuation of Nuseirat we were displaced to Deir al-Bala.
We had a famine, as we used animal feed as a substitute for flour.
We now live in a tent, facing daily hardships: long waits for drinking and salty water, cooking, charging devices, enduring intense heat, and diseases from that intense temperature.
This picture is of us waiting from 10 at night until we get a little Drinking water, and also after all the hours of waiting it is not enough to guarantee getting Drinking water
I pursued my childhood dream and,Alhamdulillah, I joined the field I aspired to_Computer Systems Engineering. However, the dream is not yet complete.
This was supposed to be my fifth and final year,
I was wearing my graduation gown and I was standing on the graduation podium, realizing my dream of my father and mother to see me as an engineer but this war and genocide have ended everything and my university has been destroyed.
My university announced online registration to complete studies, but due to being forcibly displaced to southern Gaze, I can’t register or work remotly. I left without essentials like a laptop, crucial for my computer systems engineering studies. I also can’t afford solar power or leave Gaza for Egypt to finish my studies.

Before the war, I started a small project raising chicens to fund my university fees and expenses, and managed to cover all my tuition over four years. Unfortunately, everything was destroyed by the war.
I tired working in many different things to provide the most basic needs, but none of them succeeded. These included olive picking under dangerous conditions and selling spices. I turned to you after all my attempts failed.
I also fell ill during the war, suffering from continuous stomach pain every day for more than five months. There is no possibility of medical examination due to the ongoing bombing of hospitals, and the medical equipment has broken down. Therefore, I need to traval for treatment before my health condition deteriorates further.
Thank you in advance for your help and support in saving Yousef from the Gaza genocide, seeking medical treatment, and continuing his education. ❤
Today, the occupation bombed our home in Gaza..
A house that stood for more than 30 years was destroyed in second and turned into rubble
The place that held our childhood our laughter, and our dreams is gone …everything is lost
This house had have floors, and we lived on the fifth
