I’m Ritinkar Das Bhaumik, based in the UK and I’m raising money for Yusuf and his family in Gaza.

Here are some words by Yusuf:

“My name is Yusuf, a Palestinian father from northern Gaza, responsible for a family of six. In the early days of this devastating war, I lost everything — my home, my safety, my memories. Then I lost my mother. Later, my eldest brother was martyred, leaving behind eight orphaned children.

We have been displaced multiple times. Every shelter I turned to was bombed — my house, a rental, a relative’s home. Today, we live among ruins, without shelter, food, or hope. My children go to sleep hungry every night, and I can no longer provide even the basics for them.

In Gaza, we are dying silently. Not just from bombs, but from hunger, from exhaustion, from hopelessness. We watch our children grow weaker with each passing day, without milk, food, or medicine. And all we can do is pray.

Despite my own pain, I try to help those around me — families shattered, children orphaned. But things have become unbearable. We are living through a real famine, and our lives are on the brink.”
